HOW WE GOT STARTED…
Arthur and Diane met back in 1991 while climbing at a local crag not too far from Winchester. She had just returned from her first trip to Nepal and Arthur was just back from climbing in Yosemite. Arthur and Garry were friends who’d worked together at outdoors stores, and since the climbing community in Winchester was all but nonexistent, the three of them were stuck together. When Arthur needed to replace a Nalgene® water bottle, it required driving to either Harrisonburg or Fairfax; these days, water bottles can be found practically everywhere, but back then there wasn’t any other option.
